  2. Description • Iceland is a country like no other. There are numerous qualities that make this nation so unique, however, these strange and interesting facts about Iceland might astound you. From our set of experiences to our territory and ocean to individuals themselves, Iceland has forged a character all its own.

  3. Iceland was the most unlikely location to be settled by people • Hold back something special for later? Iceland is known as probably the most youthful landmass on earth and was one of the keep going spots on earth to be settled by people. Surprisingly, more than 1,100 years prior Vikings from Norway found Iceland by accident.

  4. Iceland is Home to the very first Parliament • Iceland is home to the absolute first parliament grounds in Europe. In the year 930 AD, the principal Parliament met in Iceland in what is today Þingvellir National Park. The site has since been named a UNESCO World Heritage Site due to its social, recorded, and geographical significance.

  5. No mosquitos are there in Iceland • Discussing things that Iceland is lacking… the country is without dreadful little crawlies like snakes and noxious insects. The island is likewise liberated from mosquitos. Researchers are puzzled by why mosquitos are absent from Iceland, however, some way or another don’t think anyone misses them!
