6. MDA’s role in Work & Welcome • Administering program funds (tax-deductible donations) • Being the formal employer of all program participants • Serving as the chief referring agency to the program • Assisting participants into ongoing employment

Aims of the YEF • To raise awareness about the needs and challenges refugee and migrant young people face when seeking work in their chosen industries • To provide young people with tips and strategies to improve their job seeking efforts • To give young jobseekers an opportunity to network directly with employers

What we offer employers • Successful partnerships to provide lasting staffing solutions • Access to job-ready candidates screened to match the specific requirements of a given role and workplace • Full support throughout the entire recruitment process • Pre-employment induction and training to meet specific workplace needs • Ongoing support for employers and employees during the probation phase (and up to 3 months post placement) • Fee-for-service training and consultancy on workplace diversity and working across cultures, as well as on-the-job cultural and language support
