MDA’s role in Work & Welcome • Administering program funds (tax-deductible donations) • Being the formal employer of all program participants • Serving as the chief referring agency to the program • Assisting participants into ongoing employment
Aims of the YEF • To raise awareness about the needs and challenges refugee and migrant young people face when seeking work in their chosen industries • To provide young people with tips and strategies to improve their job seeking efforts • To give young jobseekers an opportunity to network directly with employers
