  3. ANXIETY SUPPORT GROUP FAQ’s Q:I’m shy/ very anxious to attend a group. How do I know if the group will be right for me? A: We understand that you will be anxious attending the anxiety group  So we do everything we can to create a safe, small group for you to attend. You can meet with one of the group therapists before the group starts up to see if it will be a good match for you. Q: Can I join the group at any time? A: No. We run 1 group program each semester. You can attend the first group and see if you like it, after that we close the group so that we can keep the group confidential and small. Each session links in to the following one, so we advise you not to miss groups. Q: How much does the group cost? A: It is free for students. Q. I don’t have anxiety, but can I want to join a group for support for other issues? A: No, this group is for people who really struggle with anxiety. You could join our Wellbeing group instead, which would be a better match. Q: How do I know if I have anxiety or an anxiety disorder? A: You can email Jenni with any questions and book an individual session before starting the group. J.J.Beckett@massey.ac.nz Jennifer Beckett 2012, Health & Counselling
