  1. Did you know that people are suffering because of water scarcity? Can YOUhelp these people? during…. By Libby & Charlie (Year6)

  2. Children & water! • Millions of children around the world suffer because they don’t have access to safe water and hygiene. • Living without these vital services has a devastating impact on their health, education and family relationships.

  3. Water collection! • In many countries, children, particularly girls, have to walk three or four miles, to get water and carry it back to their village. This is extremely exhausting and can damage children’s heads, necks and spines.

  4. Effect on eduation • In Africa, many of the children are not in school because they have to spend most of the day carrying/fetching water for their families. Girls often drop out completely when they reach puberty.

  5. Water-related diseases! • Every day, thousands of children die from diseases linked to unsafe water and hygiene. Most are under the age of five. • Some of these diseases can slow children’s learning potential or lead to blindness and skin diseases such as scabies.

  6. How can you help? • You can help by sponsoring your child, grandchild, niece or nephew when they take part in our sports day on Friday, 18th July! • ALL the money we collect will go to Oxfam’s Water Week Fund! • THANK YOUFOR YOUR SUPPORT!!!☺☺☺☺☺☺
