  1. Warm up 02-28-14 • Question: What does a flat line on a speed vs. time graph mean? Positive slope? Negative slope? • Answer: • Flat = constant speed (0 acc) • Positive slope = speeding up • Negative slope = slowing down. • Goal: I will use the ramps to learn about changing speed.

  2. Element of the day • 67 – Holmium – Ho • Holmium is used in MRI machines to strengthen and concentrate magnetic fields. • Holmium is also used in laser surgery.
