  1. Warm up 02-25-14 • Question: What does the slope of a speed vs. time graph tell you? • Answer: • Acceleration • Goal: I will learn to calculate acceleration using our ramps.

  2. Element of the day • 65 – Terbium – Tb • Terbium, and its most common alloy terfenol, change shape when placed in a magnetic field. A rod of terfenol will grow longer or shorter depending on the strength and alignment of the field. This can be used to turn solid-surfaces into loudspeakers by placing a terfenol rod against them.
