  2. background • Our countries are recipients of GAFSP funding • Our organizations are all implementing an Agricord project with IFAD as backdonor

The Agricord Project • Title : “Supporting Inclusive Planning of country projects financed by GAFSP” • 2-year project ending December 2012 • Undertaken in 10 countries – 4 in Asia • Has 4 steps • Steps 1-3 : FOs are involved in GAFSP design processes with institutional mechanisms, select FO who will be grant recipient ( anchor: AFA) • Step 4 : FO involvment in GAFSP project design (anchor: AsiaDHRRA)

  4. FOs /NGOs receiving Agricord support • Farmer and Nature Net • All Nepal Peasant Federation Association (AnPFA) • Kendrio Krishok Moitree • Adventist Development Relief Agency • AFA

Objectives of this WS • know the processes undertaken in Project Implementation • Analyze the experiences and draw conclusions and key lessons-- kind of interventions needed to constructively engage govt in accessing public resources ---- support needed by Fos • Future steps/ way forward • Facilitate south-south exchanges

  6. Expected outputs • Written and photo documentation • Articles/reports on the experiences in each country • Country specific recommendations • Recommendations for future cooperation
