Steve Muanza • All request sent out w/ short proposal, waiting for answers • Status: • IN2P3: bad financial situation these days! • even years, request 10k€ (hoping to get about half of this) • odd years, request support for the site visit trip from CPPM Marseille • given the current situation both requests will support my own participation • French Embassy: • Will contact them soon: when the week for the visit is decided and when I have confirmation of the support for that travel • Reminder: • This money cannot support student • In priority it should support french lecturers/organizers • CEA: contacted Henry as usual, expect around 4k€ • DESY: • Karl Jakobs is making contact with their directorate • I met Joachim Mnich (Deputy Director) at DIS2013 in Marseille, I told me they will assign one DESY contact person for ASP soon • MSU/NSF: contacted Joey • JLAB: contacted Latifa • Spain: contacted Elena regarding AECID, U. of Compostela and CIEMAT • Contacted V. Rivasseau for AIMS-Senegal, CNRS-INP & U. of Paris-Sud

Longer term: • Requesting money from EU: • Only possibility is to form an international network of universities and research centers aimed at students training and students sandwich programs in « HEP and its Applications » • Only on this basis we can request for large amount of money O(100k€) for several years • This will require a huge effort • Will probably not converge for ASP2014 • But we should think of it for the longer term • If we decide to invest in that, we should start more precsie discussions: • interested institutions • what it actually takes (MoU, officials signatures,…) • … • precise procedure for paperwork, examples of previous successful requests,…
