The Chinese women's soccer, which got the second place at the Atlanta Olympics, is still quite strong.

15. It will take us a long time to fill the gaps between China and world’s soccer powers. To achieve this, first of all, our players must improve their individual skills in all the technical movements, such as dribbling, passing and shooting. • Second, they must improve their tactical cooperation. As has been proved by the World Cup games, whatever style a team plays, there must be a good balance between attack and defense, and it is wrong to overemphasize one and neglect the other. • Our players must also improve their psychological training. They must build a strong desire to win and confidence in victory, trying to catch up when falling behind and never giving up when meeting strong opponents.

The trend has created a need for our country to open more gymnasiums and stadiums.
