  10. Assessment • Assessment occurs throughout the year. • Children no longer sit SATS in Year 6 so continuous assessment is vital throughout Y5 and 6. The standard of work in pupil books is of central importance. • Standardised assessment tests are completed – NFER Language and Mathematics. • Children will sit ALFIE assessment which is a web based maths assessment in October and then will be revisited in May. • All Assessments should be completed in May.

  11. Target Cards, WALT & WILF • Children will have personal targets set in English and Mathematics. • Once the target has been achieved a certificate will be sent home to inform you that the target has been covered. • WALT – We Are Learning To • Each piece of work starts with a WALT to focus pupils. • WILF questions conclude a task – What I’m Looking For. Questions focus pupils on reflecting on key aspects of their work. Pupils evaluate their work. • Confidence lines are used as another tool to encourage reflection – ultimately pupils set targets.
