Graduate School in Biomedical and Life Sciences Inaugural Young Neuroscientists’ Day • First of its kind • Jointly initiated by and organised by young neuroscientists from Cardiff and Bristol, via the Bristol-Cardiff Neuroscience Collaboration • Open to everyone across the UK, working in any and all aspects of neuroscience • Opportunity to present own research during poster sessions • Introduction to many different neuroscience domains • 230 attendees, plus waiting list! Inaugural Young Neuroscientists’ Day Highlights included • Talk about effective ways to communicate in science by Alice Roberts • Don't Die Young, 'Time Team' and 'Coast', a judge for NESTA's FameLab 2007 and member of the Advisory Group for Cheltenham Science Festival • Lecture by Professor Semir Zeki • Back to the future and forward to the past in neuroscience Prizes • Poster prizes • BCNC announced the launch of the Travel Prize Scheme • prizes for young neuroscientists from Bristol & Cardiff to visit the partner institution
