  7. Reviewed initiatives: Scale of Action Example: OGC "OGC is a non-profit, international, voluntary consensus standards organization" - Global organisation but it is working in very USA orientated manner

Initiatives with data requirements "We will have identified the practical needs and requirements of the different user groups of the environmental information at national to local levels." - Interviews were put aside, and they were absorbed into the project partners' participation to the document preparation - Instead, the data requirements of various environmental initiatives was planned to identify - However, this is already reviewed in the INSPIRE Work Programme

  10. Critical evaluation • More focus on data sharing initiatives than on user needs • No true interviews were conducted, but other ways of communication were • Classification of initiatives included compromises • Less links to local/regional level • Comments?

Proposed responsibilities UTU: Coordinative responsibility SYKE:Reviewing the data requirements of ICZM and revising the environmental initiatives FMI: Reviewing and pinpointing the initiatives in their field of expertise RCSF: Reviewing the possibilities of integrating regional services into national infrastructure EEIC:Reviewing the state of Estonian NSDI activity UL:Reviewing the state of Latvian NSDI activity
