This project aims to explore the influences and reasons behind smoking behaviors among high school students at Massapequa High School, where the student body is predominantly white. The study seeks to develop an effective substance abuse prevention program tailored to the unique demographics and patterns observed in this community. By conducting a survey on 200 students across grades 10 to 12, we will analyze data to identify key factors leading to tobacco use. The findings will inform curriculum modifications aimed at reducing smoking rates among teens.
