Skills for All aims to: • Raise the skills level of South Australians • Increase the number of South Australians with post school qualifications • Increase labour force participation and productivity • by making a VET system that: • Is demand driven, responding quickly and flexibly to the needs of individuals and industry • Is simpler to access and navigate • Supports more people

ASQA Requirements • Change of scope applications may be made online • Approval time for low risk providers only 2 – 3 weeks if application complete with all attachments • Must undertake a risk assessment and document risk management strategies for moving into new area • Must demonstrate: • how you establish relationships with industry • how you provide appropriate learning experiences • how licensed areas are clearly addressed • your training and assessment strategy • Must show careful planning for putting in place: • skills of trainers • relationships with industry parties • infrastructure and resources • Check info sheets on ASQA website:www.asqa.gov.au

Course and Skill Set Eligibility • The package of Skills for All funded training available to an individual will depend on • their employment status at the time of enrolment; and • their highest level of qualification, at the time of enrolment • Course eligibility will take into account Courses (qualifications and Skill Sets) previously funded under Skills for All.

  28. 1st Enrolment At the time of enrolment, I meet the student eligibility requirements. I have no prior qualifications (but I have completed SACE) and I have a job.

  29. 1st Enrolment I’ve enrolled in a Certificate IV which is not a priority course.

  31. 2nd Enrolment I want to do further training. At the time of enrolment, I meet the student eligibility requirements. I have completed a CIV under Skill for All and I still have a job.

  34. 3rd Enrolment I want to do further study. I want to do courses to broaden my skills. I still have my job and have now completed a CIV and a Dip under Skills for All.

  37. Eligibility The package of Skills for All Courses depends on: • Employment status; and • Highest level of qualification; and • Skills for All Funded Training History; and • Course to be enrolled

  38. Support for Eligible Students • Course Information – to make an informed choice • career and employment outcomes • Minimum entry requirements • plan future Skills for All eligibility • Delivery options • Student Course Fees – the full cost • Learner Needs and Bridging Units

  39. Recognition of Prior Learning • Subsidy Framework allows a Subsidy to be paid for RPL • Monitor - particularly at lower levels and for full qualification • Talk to us!

  40. Subcontracting • Skills for All Contract does not permit sub contracting of Training Services, including Enrolment, to another entity unless it is a Skills for All training provider • You may engage and contract staff if they work under your direction and control • These rules are different from the partnering and contracting allowed by ASQA

  41. No New Enrolments Date • Monitor the Funded Training List • Make sure all staff are aware of No New Enrolments Date for Courses • Training Accounts for new students must be created on or before the No New Enrolments Date

  43. 2013 • Only first time enrolment in Skills for All requires a Student Agreement and Number • Make sure all new Students are checked for an existing Student Profile and Skills for All Number • Check Funded Training History for Course Eligibility • Close Training Accounts if no longer in use
