  1. V&V Agenda Speaker: Johannes Gustafsson • Verification and validationgoal • V&V Plan for MPS • Verificationstrategy • Lifecycle for MP Relevant Systems • MPSMag hardware tests • MPSMag software tests

  2. Verification and validation goal • Prior to any operation or energizationof the system the MPSMagshall be verified and validated, to ensurecompliancewith relevant standards, system requirements and ensure a safe operating environment.

  3. V&V Plan for MPS • It does not describe the test activities in detail. • Provides an overviewofstandards, required tests, reviews and assessments. • It shall be used as an input when designing the test specifications and reports.

  4. Verification strategy • HW and SW component tests, system integration tests, the test documentationshallensure system compliancewith: • IEC 61508 – Functionalsafetyofelectrical/electronic/programmableelectronicsafety-related systems. • IEC 60204-1 – Safetyofmachinery – Electricalequipmentofmachine • IEC 62381 – Automation systems in the process industry – Factoryacceptance test (FAT), site acceptance test (SAT) and site integration test (SIT) • As a general strategy MPS tries to test as much as possible as soon as possible.
