Here are a few notable occasions and holidays that are observed in Cambodia: Khmer New Year, sometimes referred to as "Choul Chnam Thmey," is one of the most significant celebrations in Cambodia yatra. The end of the harvesting season is typically marked by this event, which occurs in mid-April. It is a time for family get-togethers, trips to the temple, old-fashioned pastimes, and the well-known water festival known as "Sangkranta." Water Festival: Also referred to as "Bon Om Touk" in Khmer, this yearly celebration takes place in November during the full moon. The celebration commemorates the end of the rainy season and the Tonle Sap River's flow change. Along the riverbanks of Phnom Penh, it features boat racing, fireworks, music, and vivacious celebrations. Pchum Ben is a religious holiday that is celebrated in September or October. It is a time when Cambodians visit pagodas to offer food and prayers in remembrance of their departed ancestors. People frequently get up early during the 15-day holiday to visit temples and take part in religious rituals. Angkor Wat International Half Marathon: This yearly race is held in Siem Reap close to the well-known Angkor Wat temple complex.
