9. 11th Meeting of the Greek Mobility Centres Network(CERTH, Dec 11th, 2007) • b.  Support from the host organization • The support of individual MoCs from the host organization is very crucial for the viability of all members of the network for the following reasons: • Status • Human resources • Space and equipment • Other services provided by host organization • It is quite optimistic the fact that all these years the host organization • invested almost 4 times the budget of EC contribution for the structure • and operation of the Greek network.

10. 11th Meeting of the Greek Mobility Centres Network(CERTH, Dec 11th, 2007) • c.  Network Cohesion • Cohesion is a significant viability factor. In order to achieve a satisfactory cohesion level after the implementation of the National project, the only binding document will be the declaration of commitment posted by EC, describing only the basic mission of each MoC. • In this phase it should be examined the possibility of preparing network regulations.

11. 11th Meeting of the Greek Mobility Centres Network(CERTH, Dec 11th, 2007) • d.  Networking • At National level it is suggested the continue activities like: • Frequently contact between members of the network • Exchange of information and examples of good practice • Network animation activities, like working groups, workshops, training, etc. • At European level it is suggested the active participation in the animation • activities organized by ERA-MORE network.

12. 11th Meeting of the Greek Mobility Centres Network(CERTH, Dec 11th, 2007) • e.  Visibility • Necessary to: • attract as many as possible clients • achieve recognition from the authorities and decision making bodies • Towards this direction it is suggested the presentation of an awareness plan at the beginning of each year. This plan could include contact with media, workshops for target groups, etc. The regular updating and the improvement of the national and the local Mobility portals should be also part of this effort. • Finally, evaluation based on reliable statistical data and commonly accepted qualitative and quantitative criteria is the most significant issue towards this direction.

14. 11th Meeting of the Greek Mobility Centres Network(CERTH, Dec 11th, 2007) • Activities of phase A: Networking with ERA-MORE (ELA) • Participation in ERA-MORE animation activities: BHO meetings, training sessions, working groups, workshops. • Collaboration with other national networks in preparation of proposals for the transnational projects related to ERA-MORE. In particular 4 Greek MoCs have been involved in 5 different proposals.

15. 11th Meeting of the Greek Mobility Centres Network(CERTH, Dec 11th, 2007) • Activities of phase A: Operation of the Network / Portal (NLA) • Provide all services to mobile researchers • Update the national portal • In the current meeting we need to approve the present plan or to make any necessary corrections. Another topic is to approve the new working groups (WG). The following WG will be proposed: • Mobility Obstacles, Legal issues, Contact with the ministries • Industry-Intersectorial Mobility • e-Newsletter • Surveys • Future Funding Opportunities • Quality • Promotion of the Network and the Portal • Training of MoCs Personnel • The WG will prepare a detailed action plan for the period 2008-2011, which will be • presented for approval in the second meeting of the network (Spring 2008)

16. 11th Meeting of the Greek Mobility Centres Network(CERTH, Dec 11th, 2007) • Activities of phase A • Operation of individual MoCs / of the local web sites (LLA) • Provide all services to mobile researchers in local level • Update of the local websites (optional) • Communication with other institutions within the geographical area of each MoC (Universities, Research Organizations, Local Authorities and Local Industry • Collect useful links for the local or the national portal • NHRF: Contribution to the transposition phase of the Directive 2005/71/EC, through the co-operation with the Ministries involved in mobility

Update and enriching the national portal • 3. Organize 2 network meetings with main objective the approval of the activities carried out by the WGs and to give new directives and new tasks. • C. Mapping exercises, surveys, research to develop new tools, like: • a. Mapping exercise for the Greek Researchers living abroad, development of a database • b. Mapping of the industries in Greece with research department – development of database • c. Surveys for identification of researchers flows (incoming, outgoing mobility, intersectorial mobility), Development of monitoring mechanisms • 4. Training of the staff upon demand on specific topics • 5. Increase the collaboration with other networks having similar objectives, NCP, MCFA, EURODOC • 6. Promotion of the Network, the Portal and Mobility policies will be on the basis of a detailed biannual • action plan taking under consideration the ERA-MORE awareness campaign

AUTH: To improve services provided by Mobility Reception Office and to upgrade the local website • 2. DUTH: To upgrade the local portal and to circulate the e-newsletter of the Greek Network • 3. FORTH: To update the Guide “Working in Greece: A practical Guide for foreign researchers” • 4. NHRF: To continue horizontal activities with the Ministries involved in mobility legal and administrative issues • 5. CERTH, NHRF: To update the guide for the legal obstacles related to researchers' mobility • 6. UTH: To upgrade the local portal
