The Greek Mobility Centres Network, part of the EU's ERAMORE initiative, aims to provide comprehensive services for mobile researchers and their families. Our network offers essential information on entry conditions, visas, work permits, job opportunities, and more. With a dedicated national mobility portal and cooperation with universities, industries, and policy makers, we facilitate efficient mobility for researchers. Since its establishment, the network has assisted around 600 researchers, promoting incoming mobility trends and supporting the local research community in Greece.

PRESENTATION OF THE GREEK MOBILITY CENTRES NETWORK The Greek Mobility Centres Network is a part of the European Network of Mobility Centres (ERAMORE) Main Objectives To offer global and integrated services of information and proximity assistance to mobile researchers in matters such as: • entry conditions • visas • work permits • recognition of diplomas • job opportunities • salaries • taxation • pension rights • health care • social security • accommodation • day care, • schooling, • language courses • access to the culture of the host country, etc.
ACTIVITIES FOR REACHING THE OBJECTIVES • Set up of a national network of mobility centers • A national Mobility Portal linked to the European Portal • Development of tools and training for the effective running of the network • Production of promotional material for the target groups • Cooperation with information providers • Cooperation with ministries, governmental bodies • Cooperation with industry, universities, research organizations • Cooperation with other networks (MCFA, EURODOC)

ACTIVITIES CARRIED OUT SO FAR • An operational national network • Development of the national mobility portal • Cooperation with authorities (3rd countries researchers, Charter and Code, etc) • Dissemination Tool of EC and National mobility policies • Evaluation – Statistics • Personnel Training • Awareness activities for the national network and national mobility portal • Cooperation with other organizations and networks
STATISTICS • Number of researchers to whom the MoC (Network) has provided assistance and guidance (approx.): 600 • During the last 5 months (approx.): 200 with 400 different questions • The 25% of the requests are coming from Greece and 75% from abroad • Number of visitors of the national portal (approx.): 11.000 • The 60% of the visitors are coming from Greece, 40% not Greek visitors but only 1/3 from Greek visitors were from Greece. • It seems that there is a bigger trend for incoming than outgoing mobility • There is a significant number of Greek researchers from abroad to learn more about opportunities in Greece.
