  4. Lunch Information • Lunch Accounts can be monitored online. The link is available on the 5th grade website. • https://www.mypaymentsplus.com • Students are given a Student ID Card to use at the beginning of the year. If they loose the card, please send $3 with your child for a replacement card. • Breakfast and Lunch Menu Links are available on the RRE website. • Parents may eat with their child at the Parent table. • Students will eat in the classrooms on STAAR Testing days • Lunch times are one hour earlier on Early Dismissal Days

General Information • Please do NOT send birthday party invitations to school. • Birthday treats may be delivered to the office by 10:00 AM and will be consumed at recess. • Students may bring water bottles to drink during the day and a nutritious snack for the morning. • Call in absences for each day out and send a note upon student return. • Tardies- Please ensure that your child is on time to school each day. We begin learning at 8:20 AM. 

Reading BOOKS from Classroom Libraries • Teachers have classroom libraries stocked with books that they buy for the children to read, checkout, and enjoy. • Please set aside a place in your home to keep track of these books and books that come from the RRE library. • Encourage your child to return the books to the teacher when they have completed them and another student will be able to enjoy them as well. • If your child has gently used books that are on the 5th grade level and would like to donate them to the teacher, teachers will gladly reward your child with Rhinobucks.

Parent/ Teacher Communication • It is in your child’s best interest that we work together with regard to his/her education. • We will keep you informed of your child’s progress in our classes through the use of the weekly Rhino Responsibility Card, the planner, and email messages or phone calls home. • Students are responsible for having a parent sign the Rhino Responsibility card every Tuesday night and returning it every Wednesday. Students who do not return a signed Rhino card by Wednesday, may earn a mark on the card or another consequence.

  18. Parent/ Teacher Conferences & Communication • Parent Conferences will begin shortly after the first grading period as needed. Homeroom teachers will send home sign-up information as needed. • If you need to set up a conference sooner, please email your child’s teachers.
