  2. How many ways can you think of asking a question in English?

  3. Did you get these? • Say a sentence but raise your voice at the end. • Swap the verb and the pronoun around ‘Have you?’instead of ‘you have’ • Add a ‘tag’ at the end, for example Perhaps? Isn’t it? • Did you think of any more?

  4. Here are three ways of asking ‘Do you have a cat?’ in French:

  5. Which do you think is easiest? Which do you prefer? • Tu as un chat? • As-tu un chat? • Est-ce que tu as un chat?

  6. In groups, trychanging the words ‘un chat’ to askother questions in French. Tryyour questions out on eachother and then on yourteacher. • Tu as un chat? • As-tu un chat? • Est-ce que tu as un chat?
