Ex: The student struck me as impervious to any peer pressure from his friends. 2. bravado (n.) : blustering swaggering conduct Ex: We know he is confident, because his stories are always told with bravado. 3. glowered (v.) : to look or stare with sullen annoyance or anger Ex: Mrs. Martel gloweredat us when she heard us laughing. 4. fervor (n.) : intensity of feeling or expression Ex: The fervor surrounding her campaign continued right through election day. 5. sanctity (n.) : holiness of life and character Ex: the sanctity of the elderly nun shone through in her every word and gesture. 6. cynicism (n.) : beliefs that people are generally selfish and dishonest . Ex: Nothing could change her cynicism about politics. 7. laden(adj.) : loaded heavily with something Ex: His voice was heavily laden with sarcasm.
