Grades & GPA • 3 grades make up semester average • Semester average goes on transcirpt • 4.0 weighted GPA after completion of 1st semester of the senior year earns Honor Graduate status.
Bright Futures Scholarships • Florida Academic Scholar • Florida Medallion Scholar • Vocational Gold Seal
Florida Academic Scholar • 3.5 weighted GPA on select core classes • Test score: 1270 SAT OR 28 ACT • 75 hours of documented Community Service • Must maintain a 3.0 in college • Will cover $126 per semester hour Tuition at a State Public University. • Will cover $78 per semester hour Tuition at a State Public Community College. • Does not cover summer terms.
Community Service Hours • 75 hour requirement for Bright Futures Academic Scholars • Complete Community Service Proposal • Must be approved by High School Designee • Must address a Social Issue • No more than 3 Social Issues per student • Non School Hours • Student may not be compensated for volunteer hours
Florida Medallion Scholar • 3.0 weighted GPA on select core classes • Test Score: 970 SAT OR 20 ACT • Must maintain a 2.75 in college • Will cover $95 per semester hour tuition at a State Public University. • Will cover $78 per semester hour Tuition at a Community College • Does not cover summer terms
Florida Vocational Gold Seal Scholar • 3.0 weighted GPA on select core courses (does not include foreign language) • 3 courses in a vocational area • 3.5 GPA in the vocational courses • SAT: Critical Reading 440, Math 440 OR • ACT: English 17, Reading 18, Math 19 OR • CPT: Reading 83, Sentence Skills 83, Algebra 72 • Will cover $95 per semester hour Tuition at a State Public University. • Will cover $59 per semester hour Tuition at a State Public Community College. • Does not cover summer terms
