  3. You’re = contraction of “you are” • Your = possessive form of “you” • It’s = contraction of “it is” • Its = possessive form of “it”

  4. UDHR • Read through the articles of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights • Based on your prior knowledge of World War II and the Holocaust, write down which articles you know or think the Nazis violated during the Holocaust.

  5. Themes of the Novel • First theme: violation of human rights • Take notes of any events you find where the Nazis are violating any of the articles of the UDHR • Your first essay will be to explain how the Nazis violate the UDHR in Night
