  3. Do Now • Know Want to Know Learned What do I want to learn about Early Native Americans?? What do I know about Native Americans???

  4. Who?? • Known as Native Americans • Paleo-Indians • Indigenous people • Some were nomads- followed Mammoths or Saber tooth tigers

  5. Where? • Bering Strait • Did you know that Asia and North America were once connected? - Native Americans Migrated from Asia to North America from current day Russia to Current day Alaska

  6. What?? • Once they Migrated Over, they developed many of their own cultures and civilizations • Some were Nomadic • Some were Agricultural

  7. When? • About 10,000 years ago!!!! • Do the math… • If you were to construct a timeline of • 1. the year 0 • 2. Today (2013) • 3. 10,000 years ago… What would it look like? What year is it? What else was happening during this time elsewhere in the world?

  8. Why? • Why do we care? • Civilizations that come before us can teach us through mistakes and successes how we can be a stronger civilization • If you lived in the hot desert with dirt and mud everywhere, how would you learn to survive?
