  1. Laboratory Equipments Presented by: Diyah Ayu W (k3313024) LenyYuliatun (k3313040) PutriFitriana R (k3313054) RidhoRahmadji (k3313058) WarihPuji L (k3313074)

  2. Laboratory Equipment Laboratoryequipment is an important part of chemistry and science in general. In this page you will learn about lab equipment and its uses.

  3. Laboratory’s Equipment that we know

  4. Beaker Glass Beaker is a simple container for stirring, mixing and heating liquids commonly used in laboratories. Beakers are generally cylindrical in shape, with a flat bottom and a lip for pouring. There are many sizes of beker glass 50, 100, 150, 200 and 250 ml.

  5. Funnel Funnel is a pipe with a wide, often conical mouth and a narrow stem. It is used to channel liquid or fine grained substances into containers with a small opening. Without a funnel, spillage would occur.

  6. Acid Buret Acid buret is a uniform-bore glass tube with fine gradations and a stopcock at the buttom, used especially in laboratory procedures for accurate fluid dispensing and measurement.

  7. What is it?

  8. Mortar and Pestle Mortar is a tool to crush, grind and mix solid substances. The pestle is a heavy club-shaped object, the end of which is used for crushing and grinding. The mortar is a bowl, typically made of hard wood, ceramic or stone.

  9. Test tube Rack The testtube rack is used to hold testtubes while reactions happen in them or while they are not needed. This is a small rack with holes across it so you can slide the test tubes into place.

  10. Laboratory’s Equipment that We Have Never Seen

  11. Bunsen Burner Bunsen burners are used for heating and exposing items to flame. They have many more uses than a hot plate, but do not replace a hot plate.

  12. Food Coloring Food Coloring is used in many experiments to show color change and to make the experiment more exciting.

  13. Florence Flask The Florence Flask is used for heating subtancesthat need to be heated evenly. The bulbed bottom allows the heat to distribute through the liquid more evenly. The Florence Flask ismostly used in distillation experiments

  14. Triangle or clay triangle The triangle is used to hold crucibles when they are being heated. They usually sit on a ring stand

  15. Test Tube Holder Test tube holder obviously is designed to jold test tubes. However, it can be used to hold pipettes and stirring rods, etc.

  16. Laboratoy’s equipment thatwe like to work with

  17. Pipette Pipette is a laboratory tool used to transport a measured volume of liquid. It is also use to extract or deliver small amounts of liquid.

  18. Test Tubes Test tube also known as a culture tube or sample tube, is a commonpiece of laboratory glassware consisting of a finger-like length of glass or clear plastic tubing, open at the top, usually with a rounded U-shaped bottom. Hold a small experiment, which would be used to conduct an investigation.

  19. Measuring cylinder Measuring cylinder is an apparatus used in the laboratories to measureexact volumes of liquids.   It is generally made of glass or transparent plastic. It comes in various sizes e.g. 5 milliliters (ml), 10ml, 25 ml,50ml etc. The biggest is 1000ml i.e. 1 litre.

  20. spatula The term spatula is used to rever to various small implements with a board, flat, flexible, blade used to mix, spread and lift materials including foods, drugs, plaster and paints

  21. Stirring Rod A stirring rod or stir rod is a piece of laboratory equipment used to mix chemicals and liquids laboratory purposes. They are usually made of solid glass, about the thickness and slightly longer than a drinking straw, with rounded ends. Like most laboratory glass, stir rod are made of borosilicate.
