Statistics • Population: 111,211,789 • Composition: Mestizo 60%, Amerindian or predominantly Amerindian 30%, white 9%, other 1% • Age Distribution: 0-14 years:29.1% 15-64 years:64.6% 65years and over: 6.2% • Language: Spanish only: 92.7%, Spanish + indigenous languages: 5.7%, indigenous only: 0.8%

Immigrants from China, Ecuador, Cuba, Somalia, Guatemala pass through Mexico’s southern border on the way to the United States. • Pollution: Deforestation. Desertification. Scarce Freshwater. Serious air pollution. Scarcity of hazardous waste disposal facilities. Mexico City Air Pollution
