Comeda Some of the foods people eat in Venezuela are rice, beans, chicken, fish and corn. A tradition is to have a big lunch with all the family, much like many Americans do with dinner. In some family’s they eat dinner with all there family.
Bandaro The flag consists of three stripes, a gold one at the top symbolizing the richness, a blue stripe in the middle symbolizing the ocean separating them from Spain, and a red stripe at the bottom symbolizing the blood of the people the fought in the war to separate them from Spain. The flag also has the coat of arms in the top left corner. Finally, the flag has eight stars in the middle symbolizing the eight original colonies.

Personas famosas A famous person from Venezuela is Simon Bolivar. He was a military commander. He played a huge roll in the independence of Venezuela from Spain. He then went to Europe and saw Napoleon. Seeing Napoleon inspired him to help the free the rest of South America. He also tried to unite all of South America. He became president but died two years after his resignation.
moneda The Venezuelan currency Is the Bolivar, named after Simon Bolivar. It is a new form of currency and was put into circulation in 2008.
Capital The capital of Venezuela is Caracas. Caracas was founded in 5167 by Diego de Losada.
