  1. What world am I part of? What responsibilities, roles or jobs am I responsible for?

  2. I am part of groups and I belong to myself! we often ask ourselves “where do I belong?” or worry that we “don’t belong”. But really we are part of many groups and they make up some bits of our identity but not all of it.

  3. You belong to you you are not a car or a house! Nobody owns you - because we don’t support slavery in New Zealand. Tohunga Hohepa Kereopa from Waimana said that “we are our own universe.” And we are part of: a whanau a hapu or iwi or extended family maybe part of a church, social or sport group part of Opotiki College part of Opotiki Community part of the Bay of Plenty part of the North Island or Te Ika-a-Maui (the fish of Maui). part of New Zealand part of Asia/Pacific Region PART OF THE WORLD!
