a) Office equipment shall be operable and usable even when it is difficult to obtain information through vision.
Example 1. When notifying the user of an operating state or an error of the office equipment, use auditory method as well, rather than just providing visual information.

Example 1. When notifying the user of an operating state of the office equipment, or of an error, visual methods such as screen display shall be possible, rather than just providing auditory information.
g) Office equipment shall be operable and usable from a seated position like using a wheelchair
Example 2. The control panel’s angle
is adjustable to the user.
a) Display requirements
1) Where text is printed on operable controls, it shall be of an appropriate size and contrast.
2) A screen display device shall support functions such as character zooming and contrast adjustment.
b) Sound information requirements
1) When voice output is used, it shall be possible to hear this output through a commercially available headphone or earphone.
c) Shape requirements
1) Keys important to operation, such as a Start key or Stop key, shall be distinguishable with vision and touch.
Example：The “5” key on a numeric keypad is to have a protrusion to make it distinguishable (refer to See JISS0011*).
*JIS S0011 was proposed for ISO/TC159 as NWIP
a) Setting the document
1) Glass surface
Open the automatic document feeder (ADF) or document (plate) cover.
Place the document on the document plate glass.
Verify the document setting position.
Close the automatic document feeder or document (plate) cover.
2) Automatic document feeder tray
Place the document in the automatic document feeder.
Operate the document setting guide.
Verify the document position.
a) Function selection
Select the copy functions (2).
Use key input to set the number of sheets.
Press the (copy) start key.
a) Document recovery
1) Glass surface
Open the automatic document feeder or document (plate) cover.
Recover the document from the document plate glass.
