  3. Hypotheses and RationaleBivariate Young black men and other minorities are subject to be murder victims especially if unemployed. Black males are disadvantaged compared to men of other races and ethnicities in regards to legal procedures such as trials, penalties, and punishments. In most murder cases, if the murder victim is white, the defendant is much more likely to receive a harsher punishment. In most murder cases, minority defendants are more likely to receive a very harsh punishment mostly resulting in death sentences. Gender Gender Age

  7. Bivariate Graph & DiscussionRelationship between Gender and Age • There’s a higher percentage of male murder victims compared to female murder victims. There is a significant lower percentage of older persons between the ages of 55 to 75 and older who are murder victims. • Young black males between the ages of 20 to 24 have the highest rate of murder victims. . The majority of female murder victims are between the ages of 20-24 years old.

Multivariate Graph & DiscussionRelationship between Gender and Age Controlling for Race • Black males fall victims to murder at a higher rate compared to white males. • There is a higher percentage of blacks who are victims to murder. Females are less affected. The percentage of female murder victims is much lower.
