  3. “A Nation Needs Its Heroes” Two highly respected charitable organizations have come together to host Heroes Hockey Challenge 2015: Princess Patricia's Canadian Light Infantry Foundation (PPCLI Foundation) Wounded Warriors of Canada (WWC)

HEROES HOCKEY CHALLENGE “A Nation Needs Its Heroes” • Established by the PPCLI Foundation, Heroes Hockey Challenge (HHC) is a series of charitable hockey fundraising events which take place annually in communities across Canada. • HHC combines two Canadian icons - Canada’s national sport of hockey and the world's finest soldiers to create a unique, family-friendly entertainment event. • HHC raises funds and awareness for those who serve: military members and their families, veterans, the wounded and their families, and families of the fallen.

HEROES HOCKEY CHALLENGE “A Nation Needs Its Heroes” • Heroes Hockey Challenge shines the spotlight on some of this nation’s greatest heroes for the benefit of Canada’s unsung heroes. • HHC events were held in • Calgary and Vancouver in 2012, • Abbotsford in 2013 • Edmonton 2014 • Toronto 2015 • Victoria 2016 • The 2017 Heroes Hockey Challenge return to Edmonton with the PPCLI Foundation partnering with other charitable groups to support our troops

HHC CHARITIES PPCLI FOUNDATION “A Nation Needs Its Heroes” • PPCLI Foundation is a registered charity whose mandate is to provide support to soldiers and their families. • Funds raised by the Foundation have been used to: • Assist in the provision of mentoring programs for military amputees; • Provide hospital comforts for hospitalized soldiers; • Support wounded soldiers to further their education, and assist in the transition to life beyond military service.

HHC CHARITIES Wounded Warriors Canada “A Nation Needs Its Heroes” • Wounded Warriors Canada is a non-profit organization that helps Canadian Armed Forces members – be they regular force or reservists – who have been wounded or injured in their service to Canada. • Through a wide range of programs and services, we help find solutions where gaps have left our veterans and their families in need. Currently, our primary focus is on mental health and, particularly, the staggering impact of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, perpetrated by Operational Stress Injuries. • Overall, however, our mandate is to help any Veteran in need as they transition to civilian life.

HHC 2014 EDMONTON Saturday, March 28, 2015 Garrison Ball Gala Dinner Liberty Grand, Toronto “A Nation Needs Its Heroes” Highlights: Keynote Speaker Location – Liberty Grand Full Canadian Military Gala Dinner and Dance Opportunity to meet and mingle with serving and former active members of Canada's Army, local celebrities, NHL Alumni, and community leaders.

HHC 2015 TORONTO Friday, March 27, 2015 Heroes Hockey Game Mattamy Athletic Centre at the Gardens “A Nation Needs Its Heroes” Highlights: Former NHL professionals will face-off against Canadian Forces soldiers from Garrison Toronto in a thrilling exhibition of hockey pride. Official Hockey Partner – Toronto Maple Leafs Alumni Puck drop by Silver Cross Mother Possibility of the Stanley Cup making a repeat appearance as per Abbotsford 2013 HHC.

HOW YOU CAN SUPPORT HEROES HOCKEY CHALLENGE “A Nation Needs Its Heroes” • Become a Heroes Hockey Challenge Corporate Partner • Attend the NHL Alumni vs. HHC Warriors Game • Sponsor a local minor hockey team to attend the game • Attend the Gala Dinner with Warriors and NHL Alumni • Make a donation to Heroes Hockey Challenge • Bid on and/or donate Live/Silent Auction Items • Purchase HHC apparel • Spread the word
