Recent site launches 5 sites were launched since the last meeting, bringing the total to 275 live sites in WordPress! • Due to the holiday we did not launch any sites or implement theme changes during the winter break • Full list of live sites is available on the Web website: https://nau.edu/web/site-migration-scorecard/ • If you or your site stewards have not been contacted by the web team on a remaining Ektron site, please let us know

Theme enhancements • One Enterprise theme and one Marketing theme release in December: • Contained Table, Catalog, and Directory fixes and styling changes • In.nau.edu “homepage” design review is next week • Directory enhancements are in initial development stages • Theme feedback can be provided at: https://nau.edu/web/theme-design-feedback-form/ • Refinements to search for internal and external sites are being evaluated • If sites are not readily appearing we can manually promote searchesvia a ServiceNow request

Post Migration • Please ensure all site stewards and editors are trained to current standards • The training schedule at https://nau.edu/web/training/is the source for upcoming workshops and new training opportunities. • The days and times for each session vary from week to week • Online self-guided trainings available: https://nau.edu/its/learn/wordpress-editor • Site stewards and owners continue to review and revise their mass migrated pages • This includes content updates, page consolidation, and remediation of old images and documents from Ektron sites • Rollout of SiteImprove access will continue as we begin the new calendar year and will remain a valuable tool as the NAU WordPress user community updates and maintains the various sites that are now live

  6. Ektron decommission roadmap • With the final mass migration sites going live, the Ektron platform will have a phase out period prior to being decommissioned • Working plan and timeline: • Unused Dev and Test environments were removed in late December • Traffic will be audited to help identify missed content/redirects • Access to Ektron production environment blocked by end of February • Based on feedback proceed with final archive and decommission of Ektron by end of March

  7. What’s coming in Q3 Quarter 3 (January 1 – March 31) high level deliverables include: • Academic workflow rollout with University Marketing • Rollout of Enterprise+ plugins to all Site Editors • Directory enhancements and further integration with Faculty 180 • Post enhancements and establishing toolset for syndication • Search results, site index, and directory page reskin • Site levels moves for internal/external content split • Initial review of new WordPress platform • Ektron environment archive and decommission

Other Notes • For those in colleges, please ensure that your Site Stewards and Owners relay any changes or service requests through the assigned University Marketing PM. • Academic workflow is being tested by University Marketing prior to initial implementation • Sign up for Outage Alerts at https://nau.service-now.com/sp?id=services_status • No Planned Outages are scheduled for the month of January • Let us know of any feedback on the In.nau.edu FAQ at https://nau.edu/web/in-nau-edu-faq/
