  6. 20,000 Directional Miles Right of Way and Pavement Images Interstate, Multi-Lane, and Divided-Both Directions 15,000 Directional Miles in SecondaryDirection Right-of-Way Only Highways With Less than 4 Lanes Collection Mileage

  7. For Concrete Surfaces Transverse Cracks Longitudinal Cracks Patching Blowup Punchout Roughness (IRI) Faulting For Asphalt Surfaces Fatigue Cracking Random Cracking Patching Potholes Rutting Roughness (IRI) Data to be Collected – Pavement Condition Data

  8. Block cracking Transverse cracking Reflective cracking on composite pavements Longitudinal cracking (non wheel-path) Random Cracking

  9. Data to be Collected – Optional Items • HPMS pavement data collection cycle to be collected in fall 2009 for 2010 reporting. Approximately 4100 directional miles • Road surface macro texture for 100% of pavement condition assessment roads.

  11. Right of Way and Pavement Images Right of Way Camera(s) • JPEG format • Collected at a maximum 26.4-foot intervals • Contain as much of the left and right shoulder as possible Pavement Camera(s) • Grayscale camera(s) • Coverage of 12 feet of survey lane

  16. Electronic Data • Collected using a transverse scanning laser for rutting • Collect all electronic data at the smallest possible interval

Quality Assurance & Quality Control • DOTD Will Evaluate The Right of Way Images, Pavement Images, and Condition Data Summary • Failure to Correct The Control Section and Deliver the District(s) Data as Outlined in the Master Schedule Will Subject The Consultant to Damages • Clearly Describe The Technique Intended to Use to Quantify The Data • Describe How The Technology Can Be Validated and How It Will Perform on Different Pavement Surface Types • Propose An Inter-Rater Consistency Testing and Training Plan • Submit QC Procedures In Final Report

  24. Begin no later than July 1, 2008 Complete by March 20, 2007 Data Collection Cycle

  25. $300 per day per district: Failure to deliver the required number of districts within the time frame $500 per day: Failure to complete the delivery of quantified pavement distress data of all nine (9) districts $300 Per day: Failure to complete delivery of the final report and until all deliverables Have been accepted Damages
