Ancient Egyptian civilisation would have been a hard life to live … from the steamy hot weather to the slaving to the war and battle.

  • Most clothes were made of linen and few pieces from wool.
  • Cotton- introduced in the Coptic years.Linen was spun from the stem of the flax plant.
  • The younger the plant-the finer the thread
  • Spinning, weaving, and the sewing of clothes was important
  • Red,yellow and blue dye was sometimes applied
  • For the popular white colour, the woven cloth was sun bleached

Children started wearing clothes at the age of 6

Men wore skirt type things and sometimes a top

Wemon wore a dress with straps.

They wore make-up and jewels to honour the gods. Both genders wore eyeshadow and eyeliner.

Amulets were wore to protect the owners

There civilisation was a lot harder than ours. Having to put up with the heat everyday. Having a wear wigs and lots of jewellery everyday. People getting treated like slaves and getting killed if disobeying gods or pharaohs. I think that there civilisation was horrible and I'm glad to have my life the way it is today.
