  2. NUEVAS INFECCIONES POR VIH EN LA C.A.P.V. AÑO 2004 • Durante el año 2004 se han diagnosticado 144 nuevas infecciones por VIH en el País Vasco, el 21% menos que en el año 2003. • El 72,2% (104) son hombres con una edad media de 38,3 años y el 27,8% (40) son mujeres con una edad media de 34,8 años. • En el 27,8% de los casos, el diagnóstico de VIH coincide con el de Sida, el 28,4% de los hombres y el 27,5% de las mujeres. • El 27,1% de las nuevas infecciones por VIH se ha producido en extranjeros.
