  2. Rigor Creating an environment in which: • Students are expected to learn at high levels. • Students are supported so that they can learn at high levels. • Each student demonstrates learning at high levels.

  3. AP Classes and Exams In the AP Class then Take the AP Exam

  4. Course Add/Drop Policy for AP/ Pre-AP Classes • Conference with the teacher. • Complete all course assignments. • Show that they attended recommended tutorials. • Conference with an Administrator and receive permission to exit the course. If a student is failing the course at the end of the 9 weeks, they can be approved to exit the course.

  5. The Ideal Advanced Student • Deadlines • Work Outside of School • Monitors Grades • Takes Responsibility • Attendance • Time Management

  6. What is an Absence? • Unexcused absence • Parent call or note • Doctor note An Absence is an Absence

  7. What is NOT an Absence? • Doctor Visit- return to school • College Visit- juniors and seniors only. • Court Date

  8. Academic Dishonesty Giving or receiving information on a test or submitting duplicated work for outside assignments. Disciplinary action Colleges and Universities

  9. Grading Percentages

  10. Reassessment Policy • Reassessment is available 1 time per 9 weeks in AP classes. • The maximum grade for any reassessment is an 85. • All formative assessments must be completed before a student reassesses.

  16. Summer Reading • Complete readings and assignments by first day of school. • Campus late work policy will apply. Summer reading titles for Social Studies and English are on sale in the library until 7:30 P.M. tonight
