Low or High Activity?) 1 - What is the place (and value) of culture in the life of the Christian? 2 - If culture is a thing of so little value, how are we justified in spending so much of our life on it? 3 - Is culture necessary for the enlightenment of the soul? 4 - Does culture make us more sensitive and likely to be saved? 5 - Is the New Testament hostile to culture (Phil.3:8; 1 Co. 3:18)? 6 - What about St. Augustine, Aristotle, Plato, Thomas Aquinas, Thomas a Kempis, Milton, Newman,? 7 - Can the cultural / academic life be a Christian calling? 8 - Can we convert the heathen neighbors without knowing their culture? 9 - Why is the freedom proposed by Milton intolerable by the Christian? 10 - Can culture help us to be better Christians? 11 - Is culture harmless or even neutral? Can it be abused? 12 - Can culture give us pleasure in a normative way? What is the goodness of culture? 13 - Can we conciliate the values of Christianity and Culture? 14 - Is any road out of Jerusalem also a road to Jerusalem? 15 - What are the dangers of culture ( in the romantic / sehnsucht sense)? 16 - Can culture help to bring certain souls to God?
