  3. I've learnedThat romantic love with attachment can turn to hatred. Metta is unconditional love and always remains positive.

  4. I've learned....That praise and blame are inevitable in samsaric life.

  5. I've learned....That being kind is more important than being right.

  6. I've learned....That you should never say "no" to a gift from a child.

  7. I've learned....That I can always pray for someone when I don't have the strength to help him in some other way.

  8. I've learned....That no matter what life’s problems are, they too must pass away.

  9. I've learned....That love, care and understanding are virtues.

  10. I've learned....That simple walks with contemplation in nature can work wonders.

  11. I've learned....That gain and loss, pleasure and pain are inevitable.

  12. I've learned....That money doesn't buy true peace.

  13. I've learned....That small daily happenings in life can teach me so much.

  14. I've learned....That some things happen even if I don’t want them to.

  15. I've learned....That when you plan to get even with someone, you are only letting that person continue to hurt you.

  16. I've learned....That loving-kindness and compassion will heal wounds.

  17. I've learned....That for me to grow I must associate with the wise and not the fools.

  18. I've learned....That everyone you meet deserves to be greeted with a smile.

  19. I've learned....That no one is perfect … I must therefore forgive.

  20. I've learned....That life is tough, but I'm tougher.

  21. I've learned....That obstacles can be surmounted with patience and persistence.

  22. I've learned....That when you harbor bitterness, happiness will dock elsewhere.

  23. I've learned....That I owe so much to so many who have crossed my life …gratitude I must show before it’s too late.

  24. I've learned....That one should refrain from lying, slander, harsh speech and gossip.

  25. I've learned....That a smile is an inexpensive way to improve your looks.

  26. I've learned....That I can't choose how I feel, but I can choose what I do about it.

  27. I've learned....That everyone wants to live on top of the mountain, but all the happiness and growth occurs while you're climbing it.

  28. I've learned ...That it is best to give advice at the right time, under the right circumstances and in the right way.

  29. I've learned....That I must put down the burden or let go when wisdom says so.
