  3. Expertise • Expert: person with considerable knowledge and skill in a specific domain • 6 components: • Intuitive • Automatic • Strategic • Flexible • Organized • Knowledgeable

  4. Stress and Coping • Chronic stress leads to hyperarousal of the sympathetic nervous system and elevated cortisol levels • Cortisol: increased blood pressure and heart rate, increased blood sugar, infertility in women, weakened immune system, depression, premature death • Coping is key for a long life
