  2. Planned Result • To develop an operational and practical document laying out challenges, opportunities and working strategies for accelerating the elimination of FGM/C within a generation (25 years)

  3. Purpose of the document • To guide in the global, regional and national advocacy • Provide practical guidance for programming

  4. Way Forward: Electronic Network • Constitute an electronic Network from this Consultation to continue sharing good practices, new research findings and working models • UNFPA can host the website which could be linked to the FGM/C Knowledge Asset

  5. Way Forward: Publish the Consultation Report • Publish experiences from the Consultation • Presenters to rework their presentation into articles for publication • The articles to be submitted by 15th September

  6. Way Forward: Finalize and Share the Road Map • Brainstorm on a title for the Road Map • The content of the Road map to include: • Where we are • Where we should be in the next 25 years • How to get there • How much it will cost • Keep the members of the Network informed of the progress • Share the draft for input • Finalize the document • Prepare a plan of action to lobby for adaptation
