  1. Way forward • This Project development process driven by developers: YOU! • So need to get commitment from a number of PD’s; if none, we stop now! • They own and drive the process forward • SSN and Kite support • So what can you expect?

  2. Support limits • There will be three times SSN will come to Ghana; Steve all three times, Stef once; each time = 4 days • Over and above that about 8 distance support days from SSN, ? Days local support from Kite • Must take place within one year, ie before Oct next year

  3. Options • Can use the local time on a very focused basis, or in workshop format • Need to get PDD to validation, approval in this time • Need to look at leadership, financing and marketing/transaction elements in addition • Marketing also thru an INVESTOR’s GUIDE (which KITE and SSN will do), which will showcase your projects.

  4. From here to workshop 2 • From here to next in-country event, get data organised for: • PIN finalisation • Deal with Common pitfalls • Baseline methodologies and examples of baseline methodologies relevant to national circumstances • Pre-feasibility study

  5. Anticipating Workshop No. 2 • Try to use second “workshop” to tie up the PINs, hence can be done early in 2006 • Report back on UNFCCC process and Montreal • Study the PDD requirements • Benchmarks • Sensitivity analysis • Bring in leadership • Bring in financial sector

  6. W’shop 3…4 • Finalise PDDs and Approval applications • Finalise FS • Bring projects to validators and DNA • Commence financing arrangements • Final decisions to commence • Market and transact…
