Recent Outreach Activities • Averaged 20 participants at PSAP Town Hall meetings: • Roanoke (Feb 2nd) • Culpeper (Feb 7th) • Tidewater (Feb 9th) • Virtual (Feb 14th) • VA Chapter of APCO Mid Winter Session held on Feb 6th and attended by 85 persons • Conference call with SW VA PSAPs • All comments were reviewed by NG9-1-1 IAT members • Consensus among NG9-1-1 IAT members for revisions to Plan
NG9-1-1 Vision • Virginia will have an integrated statewide NG9-1-1 system that enables seamless 9-1-1 communications through an infrastructure of distributed regional networks, supported by a specialized workforce.
Implementation Framework • Deliverables to complete by Sept 2012: • Educational and outreach material for stakeholder groups • Planning guidelines • Governance study and governance model • Cost study • Legislative agenda • Deliverables to complete by July 2013: • NG9-1-1 standards and guidelines • NG9-1-1 staffing and training requirements • Market research study
