  3. Introduction The Asian elephant is a mammal. It lives in Asia. It is helpful to humans because it works for people.

  4. Body An adult elephant weighs from 2.041 to 4.990 kilograms. The Asian elephant is smaller than the African elephant. An Asian elephant’s height is from 6.6 to 9.8 feet tall.

  5. The Trunk An elephant’s trunk is actually a long nose with many functions. It is used for smelling, breathing, trumpeting, digging and also for grabbing, especially a meal. Elephants use their trunks to dig for roots and water, strip bark from trees and even for fighting each other. The trunk contains 100,000 different muscles. It can hold up to litres.
