This is a true story of lady reporter Nellie Bly's race around the world in an attempted to match fictional journey in the Jules Verne book -Around the world in Eighty Days.

Nellie Bly (1864 1922) was a pioneer woman in journalism. She remains notable for two feats: a record-breaking trip around the world in emulation of Jules Verne, and an exposé in which she faked insanity to study a mental institution from within.
