I believe that there were 3 main reasons why King Henry broke away from Rome:
What does Economic mean?
Economic means to do with money and finance.
In this time, rulers had to pay a lot of taxes towards the Pope. People of the time say that the Pope was more Greedy and selfish than a religious leader.
Henry was growing old and worried. Who would take the throne once he dies? This is one among many of the personal reasons King Henry had for breaking away from Rome, as he only had daughters.
Anne Boleyn was a protestant. This means that the religion she was part of, protested against the Catholic Church. They believed that the Pope and Cardinals were to greedy. These complaints were issued at the time of which Henry was in a feud with the Pope. So he decided to join the Religion and make himself head of the English Church.
