  1. The Service Learning Program is designed to provide pass/fail credit for performing pre-arranged volunteer service in the community while gaining new skills. Students must be able to commit to at least 65 volunteer hours for each .5 credit, including a written summary to be completed outside of the volunteer time. The volunteer worksite must be at a non-profit organization such as; Habitat for Humanity, YCAP, Animal Shelter, Church, Soup Kitchen, Power Hour Reading, Military, etc. Volunteers cannot be paid, this class is designed to encourage students to reach outside themselves to do good deeds in their community or for their neighbors and relatives.
