  3. Types of course • AS/A2 • Tend to have a large amount of examined content • Typically 2 modules at AS • Theoretical/Taught • BTEC • Tend to be more heavily coursework based • Typically 3 modules in the first year • Project based

  4. Finding out about a course • Course guide (basic overview) • Talk to students – very important!! • Induction days – not too late to change! • Exam board websites • www.aqa.org.uk • www.ocr.org.uk • www.edexcel.org.uk • www.wjec.org.uk

  5. Which combination • Mixed AS/BTEC • Career plan – Watch out for • Sports science • Medical / Veterinary / Dentistry • Teaching • Languages • What type of uni(don't worry if you don't know!)
