  6. Our Expectations • School day – Start 8.50 Finish 3.40 • Attendance • Flexy registration as a privilege • SSA and Unsupervised study • Uniform + Games Uniform • Dedication and Commitment

Our Expectations- work outside of school • Research has shown that a student working over 9 hours per week achieves on average one grade lower than expected in each A level subject.  • The study showed that when students worked was significant. • For example, two hours after School was sensible, whereas long evening shifts were detrimental. • Consequently, we recommend that the maximum hours a sixth form student should work would be one day at the weekend (and perhaps one short evening shift).  

  8. Target Setting • For exam grade targets we use ALPS (A-Level Performance System) • For each course, students are given a Estimated grade based on their GCSE results • Aspirational but realistic

  9. Key Academic Dates 2018-19 • AP1 w/b 19 and 26 November • AP2 w/b 4 and 11 Feb • Parents evening w/b 29 April • Prepare to perform evening 20 May • Mocks ( AP3) w/b 17 and 24 June • Work experience week 8 July .
