EELA-2 • EELA-2 is the second phase of the EU-funded EELA project • EELA = E-Science Grid for Europe and Latin America • Overall Objective • “Build, on the current EELA e-Infrastructure, a high capacity, production quality, scalable Grid Facility providing round-the-clock, worldwide access to distributed computing, storage and network resources for a wide spectrum of applications from European and Latin American scientific communities” • Layout • EELA-2 • Tutorial • School • Outcomes • Geo Data & Grid GeoDI Progress Meeting 1

EELA-2 • CMRC’s Role • Participate in NA3: Application Support • Investigate the use of Grid technology for: • Ocean Wave prediction Model • Distributed management of large geoscientific data • Participate in project events (meetings, workshops, tutorials, etc.) • Liaise with TCD and Grid Ireland • Liaise with Irish institutions and companies • Layout • EELA-2 • Tutorial • School • Outcomes • Geo Data & Grid GeoDI Progress Meeting 1
