This update summarizes ongoing activities discussed during the LS1 Muon meeting on June 12, 2014. Grounding improvements have been completed, while the resolution of issues in M2-5 is underway, projected to take approximately three weeks. Maintenance for the Marathon's water-cooling connectors will start in July, with associated detectors temporarily offline. There are current challenges related to system configuration, likely linked to ELMBs, which Davide and Beat are investigating. For connectivity tests and high-voltage activities, significant progress has been made, but further actions are required.

Update on LS1 Activities W.Baldini, N. Bondar, O.Maev,B. Schmidt LS1 Muon Meeting June-12th 2014
Ongoing Activities • Grounding Improvement: DONE • Fixing problematic chambers in M2-5 (broken and noisy FEBs): ongoing, it will take ~3 weeks • Next week we plan to move to M1 back sides (A and possibly C) since there should be all the right conditions (nacelle available, CALO closed) • Starting from the beginning of July there will be the maintenance of the Marathon (replacement of the water-cooling connectors): • During the maintenance the corresponding detector side will be OFF • Right now we have problems with system configuration, probably due to ELMBs. Davide/Beat are investigating
Ongoing Activities • Connectivity test (C side) stopped due to the ELMBs problem, hopefully it will be resumed soon… • HV: • Re-conditioning of M4R4 and problematic chambers: DONE • HV Connectors (RDB-racks end) improving: DONE • Check mapping of PNPI system for A-C side and re-connect the CMBs: Just started • Migration to CCPCs in progress, problem with USB-RS232 driver (WIN2008)
Ongoing Activities • Next commissioning week: June 23-27, we will try to connect and turn on PNPI-HV-Chambers (at least one side), so far we left the chambers unplugged. • For more details, as usual you can refer to the e-logbook: http://lblogbook.cern.ch/MUON/
